H.E. Deputy Premier Inaugurates U.S.-Islamic World Forum H.E. Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah , The Deputy Premier inaugurated here on saturday evening the sixth U.S.-Islamic World Forum under the slogan of ''''Common challenges" . The three-day forum brings together key leaders in the fields of politics, religion, science, arts and culture from across Qatar and the world. In his opening address, H.E. Al Attiyah underlined importance of the topics tabled on the forum agenda such as the human development and social changes and means of overcoming the global financial crisis , the security issues ,the arab-israeli conflict and other pressing problems needing effective solutions. The convening of such a forum under such a title reflects the minute critical stage in relations between the united states and the islamic world, said H.E. Al Attiyah .

Insistence on “deeds” now, rather than continued dialogue was also echoed by participants at a highly-charged closing session. |

Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Rumeihi has said that the U.S.-Islamic World Forum which kicked off earlier saturday evening under the slogan of ''''Common challenges" aims at since its first edition in 2004 to bring together a distinguished elite of key leaders in the fields of politics, religion, science, economics ,thought, arts and culture, energy and technology from inside and outside Qatar. addressing a press conference here on saturday, Assistant Foreign Minister for Follow-up Affairs H.E. Mohammad bin Abdullah al-Rumeihi who is also head of the conferences'' standing organising committee said that the 6th Forum session will focus on key ,vital and important issues related to human development, social changes, the Global economic crisis and most effective action plans to resolve it as well as security issues but in a different, modern and new viewpoints. |
