2008-04-15
THE US needs financial and moral support from the Gulf countries to handle the situation in Iraq as it cannot continue to carry the burden for long, former secretary of defence William Cohen said yesterday.
“Iraq should be stable after we leave and for that we require your support,” Cohen told the eighth Doha Forum on Democracy, Development and Free Trade.
He was participating in a panel discussion on ‘Politics – Global Stability and Security.’
